German Applesauce Meatloaf




1 ½ lb Ground beef

½ lb Ground pork

½ cup finely diced onion

1 cup applesauce

1 cup bread crumbs

3 tbsp Ketchup

2 tsp Salt

¼ tsp Black Pepper




Preheat oven to 350’ F. Lightly oil a 9x5x3” loaf pan. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, and mix well. Place the meatloaf mixture in the prepared pan. Bake for 1 ½ to 2 hours. Let cool 10-15 minutes. Turn the loaf out of the pan. Slice and serve. 8 servings
