CUCUMBER SALAD



2 large cucumbers, peeled, and 2 große Gurken geschält und

sliced thin fein gehobelt

½ cup mayonnaise ½ Tasse Mayonnaise

1 TB white vinegar 1 Essl. Weißer Essig

1 small onion, finely sliced 1 kleine Zwiebel, in Ringen


Mix all ingredients well and serve chilled.

CUCUMBER SALAD



Serves 6


2 medium-large cucumbers 1 medium clove garlic, put

1 tsp. salt through garlic press

1 TB olive or salad oil 1 tsp. sugar

4 TB wine vinegar ¼ tsp. pepper


Pare cucumbers and slice thin. Place slices in bowl, sprinkle with salt, and let stand 1 hour. Pour off liquid. Combine remaining ingredients, add to cucumber slices, and toss thoroughly. Chill well and serve with Wiener Schnitzel or other meat dishes.
